Dr. Coleman is Professor of Social Relations at The Johns Hopkins University and the author of numerous books and articles including The Adolescent Society, Adolescents and the Schools, Introduction to Mathematical Sociology, and the recently published report on American schools, Equality of Educational Opportunity.
