Researching White Men's Diversity Learning Journeys

MICHAEL WELP

White Men as Full Diversity Partners

Utilizing research methods incorporating validation across difference, the author researched how other White men who are diversity advocates evolved in their diversity learning. By exploring the often unspoken realm of White male culture and identifying the benefits to White men in pursuing diversity learning, he creates a roadmap for helping White men more successfully integrate the lessons of diversity. Specifically, his research points to the value of White men educating each other within differences—as a more effective way of ultimately connecting across difference.
